Dr. Ben Ngoye trained as a clinician and a public health and organizational development professional. His experience ranges through the cycle of project management from project conceptualization, resource mobilization and business development, to assessments and evaluations, organization learning and knowledge management. More recently he has been engaged in the technical backstopping and quality assurance of diverse national level technical assistance and capacity building assignments in health and HIV and AIDS.
A holder of a Masters Degree in Public Health, and a Masters degree in Organizational Development, Dr. Ngoye has a good understanding of HIV/AIDS and other diseases of public health importance in Eastern Africa, of Health Systems and NGO Management, and of the health-related socio-politico-economic issues of the wider Eastern and Central Africa by virtue of having worked in and supported government and civil society institutions in the region.
His thesis titled ‘An Institutional Logics Perspective on the Implementation of Performance Measurement Systems in the Public Sector’ was a compendium of three articles all of which have been published in highly-regarded peer-reviewed journals.
